How do I add to Rides and Events?

The registration process on this site is completely autonomous and doesn't involve any contact with a real person.  For this reason, additions to the ride calendar can only be done by those whom we have met or can vouch for.

This is just common sense.  If we gave everyone the right to add rides to the calendar straight off the bat, a cunning individual could register, add an event and lead us all to a remote location with a big sea container and a long walk home.

If we know you and you want the ability to make additions to the ride calendar, ask and it's yours.

Assuming you have the rights to add events to the ride calendar, here is how to do it:

  1. Use the log in form on the right at www.guzziwa.com
  2. Click the Rides & Events menu item
  3. On the right, click the icon to add an event to the calendar.

  4. Fill in the form and click Save
Things to note:
  • You need to specify a venue.  Click Select and choose from one of the common meet points.  Otherwise, click No Venue and put the details of the meet in the description.
  • Specify all four fields for the start and end date and times.  If you don't, the event ends up archived and people won't see it on the day of the event.
  • If you'd like an indication of numbers, set both registration fields to Yes so people can register and unregister
