Lunch Run to Busselton - 18th May 2008

E-mail Print PDF
Well a brisk, cloudless morning saw me out firing up the Le Mans (the ol' girl never argues) for a liesurely squirt to Busselton. BP Kelmscott was the meet point where after last time.... Maccas Cappuccino was a far superior option. By 0830 it was a no show, so off I trundled to Busselton by my lonesome!! It was a little chilly on the knee caps until first stop..... Harvey!! Harvey is chilly in its own right at the best of times, but, produced the most glorious morning sunshine to thaw out in. Next stop was the Boyanup Turnoff for 11am to see if there were any Bunbury takers, but..... none arrived!! Well..... off to Busso we (I mean I....) go, via Dardanup & Boyanup. I arrived at Albies in Busselton dead on midday!! Half way through my Beer, I spotted "he who sired me" riding past, so, he pulled in. A friend living there on a Kwakka ZX10R met me there also, along with a couple of Ducs. I found myself in the company of 5 farmiliar motorcyclists for lunch at Albies & me bieng the lonely only Guzzi Owner there!! We sat & gasbagged over a Beer & a bite for a good 2 hours or so & by the way..... the food is great guys & gals!! It was a great day to be out on the South West roads & we parted company for the trip home about 1445 with one stop in Harvey on the return!!

A great day out was had by the takers & look forward to some Guzzi-like company on the roads soon
